Wii U -- Make or Break?

Recently, I've been getting into the classic Nintendo games. You know, the classic styled Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Legends of Zelda, Metroid, and many others I may not have mentioned. Despite the differences in these games, guess what their classic value has in common. A normal controller! I admit, the Wii was fairly successful in my opinion (despite it's stupid name), and the motion based control system was amazing to experience. Unfortunately, the novelty wore off and I was longing to play games normally. Titles such as Paper Mario, Super Smash Bros., and Mario Kart all had the option to use the controllers more so than motion control.

Enough about the Wii and its amazing Nintendo ancestors though, this post is about the Wii U. I'll start by commending the Wii U's unique controller design.

The private LCD screens on the controllers could offer, if utilized correctly, a revolutionary way to play games.
ou could perhaps have the LCD screen displaying your inventory while roaming a beautifully rendered 3D world, allowing you quick visual access to any items you may need.

It could also allow for great strategy games with your friends, allowing everyone to play on the same console while having all of their commands, cities, and towns displayed on the controllers while a main map is displayed on the television to allow players to decide where to move.

Oh wait, nevermind, as of now, only ONE Wii U controller can be used per console. That's great, now everyone will spend more time arguing over who gets the big controller than they will playing.

Honestly, I am unsure of how to approach an answer for this post. Should Nintendo make or break the Wii U? Honestly, I believe that as of now they should break it, cut their losses, and start to make a good console. However, if they decide to support four of those crazy controllers, things may get interesting.
